New Single "Parasite" Coming Soon!
Josh Valdivieso (Vocals)
This Missouri native was a former bassist and guitarist where he has recorded with artists such as Tech N9ne before he found his true passion in singing. Josh is very fluid in a wide range of genres from screamo, to metal-core and to sevVven’s style of hard rock. His influences are those of Staind, Seether, Breaking Benjamin and many others. Josh’s vocals have been compared to those of Seether’s lead singer, Shaun Morgan. Josh’s voice really compliments the music style of both Ant and Joey, and they mesh together very well it has been said. Josh has been busy writing and recording lyrics/vocals to the upcoming new EP from sevVven.
Ant Jones (Guitars/Bass/Production)
Ant found his love for music at an early age of just 10 and has never stopped playing guitar. Since then, he has been a voracious consumer of 2000s hard rock/metal and modern-day hard rock/metal. A former music-education major, Ant decided to drop out of college and get married and start a family and play music. His aspiring dream has always been to finish what he started, and take the gifts he has been given playing guitar, and share his love of writing with the world around him. When listening to sevVven you will hear Ant’s style of big open choruses, filled with catchy hooks and melodies, and groovy guitar riffs to get the song started. Ant likes to think of himself as a story teller, imaging music this massive spacious place where one can go and unload the trials and tribulations of day-to-day life, and just be free in.
Joey Cooksey (Drums)
Joey began playing drums at an early age and continued into high school where he was a natural fit for Tioga High School’s Drumline. His talents gave him the opportunity to compete in many drum solo competitions across the state of Louisiana. He was later recognized by his classmates and was named, “most talented in his class”. After school his achievements did not stop there as he became the most sough-after addition to local blues, rock and country bands in central Louisiana. After years of involvement inside the music scene he had found, Rimshott Productions where he started recording drum tracks for various music projects around Louisiana. Joey and Ant have played together for a while now, in other successful projects. Despite various successful projects as well as successes, Joey keeps himself grounded by constantly reminding himself of the fundamentals of passing the art of drumming to a new generation of would-be musicians during classes that he teaches and has taught.
